Andrew Garfield explains his kiss with Ryan Reynolds by kissing Stephen Colbert

Andrew Garfield made headlines after Sunday’s Golden Globes when he made out with Ryan Reynolds after losing Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical to Ryan Gosling. In an interview with Stephen Colbert on The Late Show, Garfield explained that he wanted to convey the amount of love he had for Ryan despite his loss.

“I just wanted Ryan to know that I loved him, no matter whether he won or lost I just wanted him to know it doesn’t change anything in my heart,” he said.

“That you support him, that you love him just as much,” Colbert added.

“I just wanted him to know that,” Garfield concluded.

Things started getting a little hot between the two when Andrew admitted he was comfortable with kissing another man.

“I mean, I don’t even understand the question,” he said.

“Me either,” Colbert said. “Not everyone is, but I’m totally comfortable with it too.”

The two began moving closer and closer together, and… well, you can guess what happened next.

The two were a little stunned, as we all were, afterwards. So much so Colbert forgot what was even going on.
