Patti LuPone came for Madonna

Whew! Hey, Madge – here’s your face back. Patti LuPone was on that insufferable (but he’d do in a pinch) Andy Cohen’s show when Andy asked her about Evita. Theatre royalty Patti LuPone famously played Evita on Broadway in the 70s, and Madonna played her in the 1996 film version. Let’s just say Patti wasn’t feeling Madge in the role. HAH. Seriously, someone put the flames out on Madonna, she’s burning.

Said LuPone: “I was on the treadmill when MTV used to have videos, and I saw, I believe it was “Buenos Aires”, and I thought it was a piece of sh-t.”

She went on: “Madonna is a movie killer. She’s dead behind the eyes. She cannot act her way out of a paper bag. She should not be on film or on stage. She is a wonderful performer for what she does but she is not an actress. Bang.”

How does Patti really feel? She’s not far off, although I thought M was good in Dick Tracy. That’s about it, though. You can assume that Patti and Madonna will not be co-headling a feature film anytime soon.
