“Anyone else who tries is a charlatan and a fool.”
HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH. Someone’s WROUGHT that some peasant tried to make a movie of their life before they got the chance. Screenwriter Elyse Hollander’s Madonna script Blonde Ambition made the 2016 Blacklist. That’s the list of unproduced screenplays that are the most critically acclaimed. Well, according to The Hollywood Reporter (via Towleroad), someone’s producing it.
Michael De Luca, who produced Fifty Shades of Grey for Universal, is attached to produce along with Brett Ratner’s RatPac Entertainment. John Zaozirny of Bellevue Productions also will produce.
The film will reportedly focus on M’s early NYC years and conclude with the making and release of Like A Virgin. This could be amazing, and a worthwhile film-going experience. Unfortunately, there’s an important person who doesn’t think this could be amazing. Madonna. She left a heated post on Instagram.
Madonna has all the money so I’m betting there’s going to be a legal battle. M is fully in her “wacky auntie”, middle-aged wackadoo phase, so expect this to get theatrical.
